Here we illustrate the long term follow-up of scalp follicles after microsampling procedures. 
A 6 months follow-up of a cluster of scalp hair follicles after microsampling showed that one needs a precise and accurate monitoring method in order to track these follicular units. photo Hence we demonstrate the lack of visible scarring. This was documented in 2004 and it was really considered as a substantial progress. Clearly after microsampling (J0) a little hole is visible for a few days (J2). This fades away very rapidly as shown after 5 and 7 days (5ième and 7ième jour).
This sampling technique is now routinely used in our centre for hair transplantation.
